Part Time Nanny Torrens ACT

Location: Torrens, ACT
Schedule: Thursdays, 9:00am – 5:00pm
Start Date: ASAP
Hourly Rate: $35–$40 + super + entitlements
Contract: 12-month minimum
Award Coverage: Miscellaneous Award 2020


About the Family

A professional mother working from home in Torrens is seeking a warm and confident baby nanny to care for her 9-month-old every Thursday. This is a sole-charge position where the nanny will be responsible for the full routine during the workday.

The family values calm, respectful care and is looking for someone who brings both experience and initiative. Mum will be nearby in her home office and appreciates someone who can manage independently while

maintaining excellent communication.


Role Overview

  • Care for a 9-month-old baby in a sole-charge capacity
  • Follow a consistent daily routine (feeds, naps, play)
  • Engage in age-appropriate developmental play
  • Manage all baby-related tasks and light nursery duties
  • Respect the family’s privacy while working alongside mum


Duties Include

  • Preparing bottles and meals for baby
  • Managing nap routines and sleep support
  • Changing nappies and maintaining hygiene areas
  • Tidying baby’s play zones and laundering baby clothes
  • Communicating daily updates to the parent
  • Supporting healthy habits and gentle structure


Candidate Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years' experience with babies under 1
  • Confident working alone in a family’s home
  • Calm, nurturing, and professional in manner
  • Able to take initiative and manage the day independently


Mandatory Compliance

  • Valid Working With Children Check
  • Recent Police Check (within 6 months)
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification (within 2 years)
  • 5 written references
  • 5 employer email contacts for reference verification

This role is governed by the Miscellaneous Award 2020, which includes:

  • Overtime for out-of-schedule work
  • Paid leave entitlements
  • Safe, compliant workplace protections
  • Superannuation contributions in line with legislation
