You get paid to travel:

I travelled the world on private jets rode in a vintage gold Rolls- Royce, visited 5 star luxury hotels staying in the presidential suite, let’s face it, traveling doesn’t come cheap! Working abroad means that your flights are usually covered by the family who hires you, and your accommodation and board is usually covered too, so your expenses are low. In your free time you can explore the city you live in and the places nearby, go away for a weekend or even longer when your on holidays.


You meet new friends:

I made friends from all over the world from different cultures and we will be friends for life.  In the larger cities there are big nanny networks and often there are nanny meet ups where you can meet new people and explore together. Many nannies who work abroad say that they have met lifelong friends in these situations.


You experience a new culture:

I lived in Turkey, Monaco, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, London , Paris, Italy and Lake Como, so many places i can't even remember, it was life changing.

Every different country means a different culture. Living with a family abroad you can see how different things are. Try new foods, listen to new music, and just enjoy a new way of life. Even in a new English speaking country things will seem different, people will be different, life will be different.


You can learn a new language:

I learnt to speak Spanish, French and Arabic.

Most people that speak English don’t bother learning a new language as English is the most used language in the world. Also its hard to learn a new language at home as you need to practice. Working abroad means you can immerse yourself in a new culture and learn the local language easily as there is a lot of time to practice.


The money is 6 figures: 

Working abroad means earning more money! Compared to the UK salaries are much higher and the living expenses much less. Especially if you choose to work in places such as the Middle East and Russia, then it can be double! At my peak I was earning $250,000 plus tips
