Q: Can you tell me about your background in childcare and what led you to nannying?
Q: Can you tell me about your background in childcare and what led you to nannying?
A: I started nannying in 2022 while also working in early learning centres. I’ve worked as both an educator and room leader, caring for babies as young as two weeks old through to school-aged children. I love the one-on-one connection nannying provides — it allows me to focus on the child’s individual needs while also supporting the family.
Q: You’re currently working as a Room Leader in the babies’ room. How does that experience prepare you for a nanny role?
Q: You’re currently working as a Room Leader in the babies’ room. How does that experience prepare you for a nanny role?
A: It’s given me strong skills in planning daily routines, ensuring safe and nurturing environments, and supporting developmental milestones. I’m very comfortable with newborn and infant care — feeding, sleeping, play-based learning — and I bring that professional structure into a home setting.
Q: The family requires care on Mondays. How does that fit with your current schedule?
Q: The Richmond family requires care on Mondays. How does that fit with your current schedule?
A: Mondays work really well for me. I’m looking to take on nannying roles alongside my current centre position, and Mondays are a day I can commit to consistently.
Q: What are some of your strengths that would make you a good fit for this family?
Q: What are some of your strengths that would make you a good fit for this family?
A: I’m warm and adaptable, but also structured and professional. Families often tell me they appreciate how I balance playfulness with responsibility. I have strong newborn experience, I’m confident driving children, and I’m reliable with communication and routines.
Q: The family has asked for a nanny who can support with routines and light household duties. Are you comfortable with that?
Q: The family has asked for a nanny who can support with routines and light household duties. Are you comfortable with that?
A: Yes, definitely. I’ve done that in both my nanny roles and centre-based work. I can assist with tidying, preparing meals or snacks, and helping keep the home in order while prioritising the child’s care.
