    Hi Lauren,

I hope you’re well. I’m contacting you from the Australian Nanny Agency as you were listed as a referee for Yahaira Tafur Cruz. Yahaira has applied for a new position, and with her permission, we are reaching out to confirm and update her reference.

If you are happy to provide a reference, it would be greatly appreciated if you could answer the following short questions:

How long did Yahaira work with your family, and in what capacity? She looked after my 3 year old twins, while I was at work, when my regular nanny was on holiday and also some baby sitting. This would have been over a year period while I was in Australia.

What ages were the children she cared for? 3 years old

How would you describe her approach to childcare? I really liked this, she was outgoing and took the children out a lot. My children liked being with her, she was very natural and confident.

Were there any particular strengths or qualities that stood out to you? My son was going through a difficult time, he was recently diagnosed with autism and he was very sensitive often finding it hard to go out the house - she was very good with him. She was great with my daughter too, she was struggling with her brothers condition and I liked the attention that she got too.

Would you recommend her for a similar role in the future? Yes, I would have preferred that she was my children’s full time nanny but she had another job at the time.

Please feel free to reply by email or let me know if you’d prefer a quick call. Thank you for taking the time to assist us in this process. It's greatly valued.

Yahaira Tafur has been a casual nanny to our family for over 3 years now and our children are always very excited when she comes to look after them. She brings a very happy and delightful energy to our home, which is contagious. We have 3 children – Arabella who is 8, Serge who is 6 and Raph who is 4.

Yahaira has a natural rapport with children and she is very loving, nurturing and experienced. Yahaira is very trustworthy, reliable and punctual. She enjoys playing and teaching children and will effortlessly clean up alongside and after them. Yahaira is also a very talented cook and her meatballs are a favourite in our household.

Yahaira has looked after our children from when our youngest Raphael was a baby. She has also done overnights and weekends away for us where she has been sole charge of our house and children.

I have no hesitation to recommend Yahaira as a nanny for children of any age, from young babies through to older children. She would be an asset to any family.

    Re: Yahaira Tafur Cruz

It is with pleasure that I write this reference for Yahaira as a potential nanny for your family.

We were introduced to Yahaira through friends back in 2016 when our son Arthur was a baby. Since then, she has been on and off helping looking after Arthur and his big sister Beatrice.

Being full time working parents and not having any local family support, Yahaira has been an amazing support to our family. We know when we need her, the children are so excited about her looking after them – they adore her.

She is firm with the children when needed, plays silly games with them (which they love) and also teaches them. One of the many things we love about her is that she will always take them out places, to ensure they are doing fun activities – for example the library, the beach, Halloween activities at the local community hall – she does it all!

All in all she is a rare find and she truly cares for our children. Nothing is too much, and she always puts their interests first. We also receive regular (unprompted) updates as to what the children have been up to which is an added bonus.

We have no reservation in recommending her to other families.

If you would like to ask any questions, please do not hesitate to call me on 0406 176 214

    Reference Yahaira Tafur Cruz

I employed Yahaira during 2014 and 2105 my look after my twins when they were 3 years old.

Yahaira is confident, capable and trustworthy, she helped us at a difficult time in our lives. I was a newly single mum, working full time and both of my children had just been diagnosed as being on the Autistic spectrum which was quite stressful.

Yahaira formed a strong bond with my family, my children were very happy to stay with her and I was comfortable to leave them with her while I was at work. I found Yahaira to be very self-sufficient, she looked after the children without any direction from myself. She was fond of cooking them healthy meals and encouraged them to try new foods. I loved that she took them out doors a lot and made sure they were kept busy.

It is not always easy to look after a child on the autistic spectrum, but it didn’t faze Yahaira. I would be delighted if she could work with us again but unfortunately, we are now on the other side of the world.

If you require any further information, feel free to contact me.

    Yours Faithfully,

    To Whom It May Concern:

I am writing to provide a reference for Yahaira Tafur.

Yahaira has been providing babysitting services for me and my family since 2014, taking care of my two young daughters on a casual basis.

Yahaira was initially recommended to me from another friend of mine and I’m so very grateful for that. As a newly single parent I was hesitant to leave my children with a babysitter, but I quickly came to trust Yahaira implicitly.

Yahaira is clearly an experienced child carer and needs very little direction or support carrying out her duties. She is always on time, she cooks healthy meals for the children, she is very creative and spends a great deal of time playing with the kids, is firm with them but incredibly kind and loving, and always leaves the house tidy – which is something really important to me!

Above all, my children have developed a lovely bond with her and never get upset when I leave. This gives me a great sense of security.

I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Yahaira and her services to anyone in need of quality child care.

    Sincerely,

    Bronwen Vance

    To whom it may concern:

Yahaira has been providing occasional babysitting since April 2014 when my son Tanner was one year old. When my daughter Kierstan came along in August 2015, she continued to babysit both my children.

I have found Yahaira to be very reliable, accommodating, punctual and trustworthy. I feel very relaxed and trust Yahaira completely to take good care of my children when she is babysitting.

Both Tanner and Kiersten love Yahaira and look forward to Yahaira coming over. She is very resourceful in organising play activities according to my children’s interests and is able to bond easily with them. She could also calmly and confidently settle the children to bed when they were babies.

Yahaira is also easy to communicate with, and would send me regular updates on the children throughout the evenings. She is also very flexible, and was happy to reshuffle her work or study schedule whenever she could, to accommodate last minute sitting requests.

Yahaira has always been and continues to be my first choice when I need a sitter. I highly recommend Yahaira to other families. If you would like further information please feel free to get in touch.

    Yours faithfully,

    To Whom It May Concern

Yahaira looked after my son Kayden from when he was 1 to when he was 5 years old. Initially she looked after him and another 1 year old boy full time and then just Kayden part time 1-3 full days a week and some afternoons as he transitioned to preschool. She has also regularly baby sat for our family when we would go out.

Though out all this time Yahaira was a wonderful addition to our family. She was reliable, resourceful and fun. She was happy to work to our routine but was also capable enough to deal with any situation whether looking after one or multiple children. I could fully trust her with my son.

Kayden really enjoyed the time he spent with her whether it was going to various activities with her, playing games/cooking crafts at home or going on adventures around Sydney. He was also a fan of the lovely meals she would cook for him (as were we if there were any leftovers!). They formed a great bond that continues now as Kayden looks forward to every time Yahaira comes over to baby-sit.

From my perspective as a working mum Yahaira was exactly the kind of person that I would want looking after my children – she was timely, always planned her time of around us and provided my son with the care, love and attention that made me comfortable to leave him to go to work every day.

I wish her all the best for any future roles.

    Reference: Yahaira Cruz

I first met Yahaira when she was nannying for friends in 2014. I was immediately impressed with her love of children and her ability to form connections effortlessly, so when it came time for my husband and I to take a ‘kid free’ holiday, we knew there was only one person we would use.

Yahaira looked after our six-year-old daughter and our 19-month-old son for six nights whilst we went overseas. This was our first time away and we were initially concerned how our son would respond, as he suffered separation anxiety. Yahaira did two visits prior to our trip to build the bond, and the children responded very well. There were no tears when we left, they loved being around her, were settled, happy and had lots of fun.

Yahaira managed their routine and extra-curricular activities with ease. She put the children first and was flexible when an issue with our plane resulted in a one-day delay on our return. Knowing our children were happy and in such great care eased our anxiety over the delay. At all times Yahaira was in constant communication, sharing photos and updates and we found this very reassuring.

I would not hesitate in recommending Yahaira to anyone looking for a nanny. Her warm nature, bubbly personality and infectious energy make her an asset to any family.

    Kind Regards,

    To whom it may concern:

This is a letter of recommendation for Yahaira Tafur Cruz as a nanny.

Yahaira has been caring for our two girls since they were one and two years old in March 2015. She worked once a week from 5-9pm and on occasions baby-sat in the evenings or over the weekend when required. A close friend recommended Yahaira to us, and we now unreservedly recommend her to other parents.

Yahaira is very reliable, trustworthy and most importantly caring and possesses a warm nature. She has a great sense of humour, boundless energy and passion and nothing seems to phase her. Juggling two small children is challenging but she takes it in her stride. Yahaira is very positive and personable and the kids really enjoy their time with her. She relates to our girls in such a delightful way, turning everything into a fun game. She takes very good care of our kids.

Yahaira respects our parenting style and schedules while being confident enough to independently make day-to-day decisions regarding our kids.

Some of Yahaira’s daily activities would include walks to the local playgrounds, attending playgroups, reading books, or new-time at our local library. Yahaira shows great initiative and creativity; often baking with our eldest daughter and undertaking fun activities like arts and crafts.

Without instruction, Yahaira would always take photos and send updates throughout the day, which was very reassuring to us, knowing she was engaged with our six kids.

On occasion she would cook dinner, help fold laundry and tidy up our home.

In short, unequivocally we would highly recommend Yahaira to any family looking for a nanny.

We ask that anyone in receipt of this letter feel at liberty to contact us for further clarification to the above. We would be happy to answer any further questions or to discuss our experiences in more detail.

    Sincerely,

    To Whom it may concern

We highly recommend Yahaira Tafur Cruz to any prospective family looking for an ongoing or casual role. She has been our ‘go to’ nanny/baby sitter whenever our regular nanny was away or unavailable and we continue to call on her when needed. We have 2.5 year old boy/girl twins. She was recommended to us by friends and we have also recommended her to other friends.

The thing that struck me about Yahaira when I first met her is how quickly and easily our toddlers gravitated to her. This is the true test for me as to whether someone has a genuine love of children.

She is nurturing, fun and loving and my kids love her. She has always been reliable and I know that she builds in contingency time to her travel to ensure that she is never late. We have also appreciated her flexibility in situations where we are going to be late home or call on her at short notice.

Typically she would look after our children for full days (10 – 11 hours) involving meals, managing sleep routines, taking them out to the park or outside feeding kangaroos at the local animal shelter, trips to playgroup, reading them stories, baking biscuits or playing games (which is no mean feat with the demands of one sick and one healthy child who had different needs, often when they were both teething).

In our situation we had some strict routines regarding sleep and eating that we wanted her to follow with them. We were very pleased about how she was able to fit into our routine but then equally adapt when our children’s needs changed, especially the confidence to then manage their needs, but explain confidently what had worked for us previously.

It is not often that I write references for people that I rate highly. I hope that I have conveyed adequately my respect and appreciation for Yahaira.

I invite you to email or call me if you would like to know more.

    Cheers
