Infant Nanny – 5 Days per Week, Starting September (Sydney, NSW)

Children: 1 baby 8 months
Schedule:  Long-term: 5 days/week Monday–Friday, 9:00am–2:00pm

Salary: $35–$45/hr gross (depending on experience and qualifications)
Start Date: Mid-September 2025

Fixed Contract: 4 months

About the Family
We are a professional, caring family seeking a warm, reliable nanny to look after our baby from 8.5 months old. We value consistency, gentle routines, and a nurturing environment. Our long-term goal is to have continuity of care through to January 2026, when childcare will commence.


Duties & Expectations

  • Provide attentive care, ensuring baby’s safety at all times
  • Support and follow infant feeding and nap routines
  • Prepare age-appropriate meals and snacks (as solids are introduced)
  • Engage in stimulating and developmentally supportive play
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised environment (child-related only)
  • Provide feedback to parents on daily activities, mood, naps, and milestones


Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience caring for infants under 12 months (references required)
  • Working With Children Check (WWCC)
  • Current First Aid & CPR (infant-specific preferred)
  • Up-to-date vaccinations (flu and whooping cough)
  • Strong understanding of infant care, routines, and safe play practices


Age-Appropriate Developmental Activities

  • Gentle sensory play (textures, rattles, soft music, reading aloud)
  • Floor play to encourage crawling and motor development
  • Outdoor walks or pram time for fresh air and stimulation
  • Simple peek-a-boo and social interaction games
  • Early language exposure through books, songs, and conversation
  • Encouraging safe exploration and independent play in short intervals
