Baby Nanny The Ponds (Sydney, NSW)

Position: Experienced Baby Nanny


Location: The Ponds, NSW2769

Contract: 4 months fixed term (with possibility of extension)

Hours: Monday – Thursday, 9:00am – 2:00pm (20 hours per week)

Rate: $40–$45 per hour (inclusive of superannuation, depending on experience)


About Us

We are a warm, professional family looking for a caring and reliable nanny to support our baby boy (under 12 months). Our home has a calm and structured environment, and our son is on a well-established feeding and nap routine. We are looking for someone who values consistency, has a genuine love of working with infants, and can become a trusted part of our family life.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide attentive, nurturing care for our baby during the day
  • Follow and support our baby’s established nap and feeding routine
  • Prepare and feed bottles and simple, age-appropriate meals
  • Engage our baby in stimulating, developmentally appropriate activities (e.g. play, reading, sensory play)
  • Take baby for short walks/outings as part of daily routine
  • Perform light baby-related duties (e.g. washing bottles, tidying play area)


Requirements

  • Minimum 2+ years of infant care experience, ideally in a nanny or centre-based setting
  • Current Working With Children Check
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification
  • Up-to-date vaccinations (including whooping cough, flu, COVID-19)
  • Excellent communication skills, reliability, and a warm personality

    You will need extensive experience caring for infants under 12 months. This includes following feeding and sleep routines, preparing bottles, supporting development through play, and recognising the needs of babies at this stage. Previous nanny or early childhood experience is essential.

    Yes, a full, clean driver’s licence is strongly preferred. While most care will be in the home and local area, the family values flexibility for outings and emergencies.

    You should be able to provide at least two strong recent references from families or childcare employers where you have cared for infants under one year old. Written references are ideal, and verbal checks will also be conducted.

    The primary focus is the baby’s wellbeing, but you will also handle light baby-related duties such as washing bottles, tidying the play area, and keeping the baby’s routine running smoothly.
