  • Job Description – Mother’s Helper / Baby Nanny
    Location:
     Carlton North, VIC
    Start Date:
     Early December (after birth in November)
    Position:
  • 2 days at 6 hours a day or
  • 3 days at 4 hours a day for first  four weeks
  • then transitioning into either 3-4 days for 8 hours 


About the Role:
This position is designed to provide hands-on household and family support during the first months with a newborn. The focus is on assisting mum at home with practical daily tasks, cleaning, meal preparation, and creating a calm, organised household environment. While baby care may be required occasionally, this role is primarily about being a supportive extra pair of hands for mum, ensuring she can rest and bond with her baby.


Duties & Expectations:

  • General household support: washing, folding, laundry, tidying, and cleaning
  • Meal preparation and keeping the kitchen organised
  • Maintain a clean, calm home environment for mum and baby
  • Support mum with errands or household organisation as needed
  • Assist with newborn care only when required (settling, holding, basic routines)
  • Provide a reliable, nurturing presence in the home


Requirements:

  • Previous experience supporting families with newborns or young children
  • Strong background in household management, cleaning, or mother’s helper style roles
  • Warm, trustworthy, discreet, and comfortable working alongside mum at home
  • ABN preferred (for ease of payment)
  • Italian language skills a bonus (not essential)
