Job Details

  • Job Title: Family Assistant
  • Location: Vaucluse, NSW
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Days & Hours: Sunday to Wednesday, 1pm – 6pm
  • Pay & Entitlements: $35–$40/hour
  • Duration: Ongoing
  • Children: Household includes school-aged children (details shared with shortlisted candidates)

    A professional, well-organised family looking for a warm, capable assistant to provide support during busy afternoons. A great fit for someone proactive and calm.


Duties & Expectations

  • Light household support
  • Afternoon snack prep
  • Assist with children’s activities and routines
  • Tidy play areas and manage small tasks
  • Possible school pickups (TBC)
  • General help with household running


Requirements

  • Prior experience in nannying, family assistant roles, or education
  • WWCC (Working With Children Check)
  • Police Check (issued within last 6 months)
  • First Aid & CPR (within last 2 years)
  • Strong references and communication
  • Confident working independently


Mandatory Compliance

All candidates must hold:

  • Current Police Check (issued within 6 months)
  • Valid Working With Children Check or international equivalent
  • Current First Aid & CPR certification (within 2 years)
  • Excellent presentation and communication
  • Five written references
  • Five email contacts for past employers

These checks are essential to ensure safety, professionalism, and client confidence.


Legal Compliance

This role falls under the Miscellaneous Award (MA000104) and includes:

  • Overtime rates for work outside agreed hours
  • Paid public holidays and leave entitlements
  • Superannuation in line with the Super Guarantee
