Recruiter: Can you tell me about your current work situation and availability?

Sasha: At the moment I’m with a family in Aspendale, but they’re about to have a baby and won’t need. That actually works out well because I’ll be available to start with another family from mid to late September. I’m available Monday to Thursday and can also help out occasionally in the evenings or on weekends with notice.

  • Recruiter: What hourly rate are you looking for?

Sasha: I’ve been on $45 an hour, and that’s the rate I’d like to continue on. I’m happy to discuss my rate  depending on the role, but I do prefer a guaranteed weekly income so I can plan around my own family commitments.

Sasha: I think it’s really important to have clear agreements with families about cancellations and sick days. I prefer knowing my hours are secure, but I’m also very adaptable when things change. I always put the child’s wellbeing first while keeping communication open with the parents.

  • Recruiter: What kind of household support are you comfortable providing?

Sasha: While my main focus is on the children, I’m very comfortable helping with light household duties like meal prep, tidying up, and keeping routines on track. I find that helping with those little extras really supports the family as a whole.

    17th November 2019

    To Whom It May Concern,

Sasha Dent worked with our family for 2.5years and cared for our youngest boy as well as often caring for his older brother during school holidays and on other occasions.

Joining our family when our youngest was 7 months old, Sasha’s trusting nature quickly put us at ease, and we were more than confident that she was caring for our son with complete professionalism and a warm heart.

Sasha’s caring nature and invaluable skills as a nanny, mother and sleeping coach helped our family immensely. When we left of a day, our boy happily watched us leave and when we returned, he was well rested and well fed. She helped us navigate through the varying stages of his growth and changing sleep patterns with greater confidence, always willing to give advice without ever making us feel like we had no idea what we were doing (even when that was completely true at times!).

Sasha made a huge effort to put our boy’s development first, and had lists of activities, games, and places that she would take our son, so he was always learning and growing. He especially loved going to visit the fish at the local pet shop and going to the various parks & libraries around our home. I can honestly say that our son appeared to genuinely look forward to every day he spent in Sasha’s care and as time went on, he squealed, clapped and later on, ran to her at the door of a morning.

Sasha was also an extremely big help to us at home, always asking if there was anything she could do whilst our son slept or in general, to help make our lives that bit easier. I always knew when I came home that the house would look better than when I left it. Whilst these were small tasks in our day to day lives, they made a massive difference to my busy life, and I was very grateful for the extra set of hands at home and that extra motherly touch to help keep our house in order.

I know it might sound corny, but everyone needs a Sasha in their lives, and whilst I will not go forth and have another baby to stay with her, everyone in our family will genuinely miss her and we feel sorry for our son that he is losing one of his best friends.

She is not too good to be true; she is just that good. Feel free to give me a call if you would like to chat at any stage.

    Best Regards

    Jenna

We have reached out to Sasha’s references again. Sasha has been successfully placed through our agency before, however as part of our policy we always re-confirm references. Updates will be added as they come through live to her portfolio.
